G-SHOCK has continued to push the boundaries of timekeeping robustness while generating fresh and innovative designs since the first DW-5000C was released in 1983. These new models encapsulate these efforts in an appealingly slim design.
The octagon shape is carried over to these new models from the original DW-5000C. Without sacrificing G-SHOCK level toughness, analog-digital timekeeping is crammed into a no-nonsense basic design.
The use of high-strength resin reinforced with carbon fibres allows for the creation of a case that is only 11.8 mm thick, the thinnest among G-SHOCK combo models.
The module is protected by a new carbon core guard structure that encases it in a carbon casing. For remarkable strength and break resistance, the case is constructed of fine resin embedded with carbon fibres.
