The Repco Supercars Championship is the leading Motorsport category in Australasia, with events taking place across Australia and New Zealand. Last year saw Seiko celebrate 10 years of partnership with the Repco Supercars Championship as the official timepiece of Australasia’s Premier Motorsports series. The category is renowned for its exciting racing and the closeness of competition, with millimetres and milliseconds often being the different between victory and despair.
2024 sees the continuation of the partnership between Seiko 5 Sports and the Repco Supercars Championship. To celebrate this legacy, we are thrilled to release our latest Seiko 5 Supercars Limited Edition; SRPL01K.
DESIGN
The 2024 Supercars Limited Edition seamlessly blends a retro feel design with the unique landscape of the racetrack.
The dial is black – reminiscent of the asphalt used on the high performance race track. The bold chequered flag pattern signifying victory on the bezel, fuses perfectly with the red hue of the inner ring, a distinctive colour associated with the Supercar series.
The second hand is solid red to help keep track of time in low light, and the slender hands and hour markers incorporate Seiko’s renowned Lumibrite application.
BOXING AND STRAP
The watch is presented in a pillowed presentation box with a medallion, individually numbered signing off the authenticity. The custom box pays homage to the Supercars, with the silhouette of the steering wheel embedded on the top, with a see through screen revealing the Supercars watch.
For added flexibility, a silicone strap is included in a customised compartment when not in use.
CASE BACK AND CROWN
The Limited Edition exhibition case back and crown feature the iconic Supercars logo. The unique limited edition number is also etched onto the case back to commemorate the 2024 Supercar Season, matching the medallion.
